Sound Measurement

RION produces a number of sound level meters suited for various applications. Some of the more poptlar models are described below:

NL 14 Sound Level Meter

Measures Leq, LAE, Lx, Lmax and Lp. Incorporated RS 232 interface realises easy system expansion. Various optional units like filter and memory card available.

NA 29E Sound Level Meter

Compact instrument for precision sound level measurement and octave band real-time frequency analysis. Filter frequencies from 31.5 Hz to 8 kHz. Stores 1500 display patterns of measured and analysed data.

NA 26 Sound Level Meter

General purpose SLM IEC Type 2. Measurement range of 30-130dB. It has an easy to read LCD display. Readings are displayed in both numeric format and as a bar graph. Frequency weighting modes A and C.

NL 18 Sound Level Meter

IEC Type 1 SLM with Dual Measurement and display! Measures LP, Leq, LE, Lmax, Lmin, Lx, Lpeak and Ltm3, Ltm5. The two separate noise measurement channels can operate simultaneously, using different settings for frequency response and time weighting. Capacity to store up to 100,000 results of instantaneous values.

SA 29/30 Real-Time Analyser

1/3 Octave band real-time analyser available in 1-Channel (SA 29) or 2-Channel (SA 30) configuration. Facility to measure sound and vibration.

PHONAFUITE

Leak detection by acoustic monitoring of thermal power plant boilers. The flow of a pressurized fluid through a hole or crack produces a loud sound emission. The noise of a leak transmitted through the gases of the combustion chamber can be detected by strategically placed microphones.
